Diana was apprehensive about the identity of her visitor. Her fear stemmed from the possibility of it being Calhoun, whom she had been evading for a long time. She was not willing to be found easily by him. In anticipation of Calhoun's arrival, she was ready to flee. "Did you hear the man's voice?" Diana asked, willing her voice to be calm and not shaky so that her fear could be masked.
