She left

SLADE POV

Winter wasn't speaking to me, and I didn't blame her for giving me the cold shoulder. I acted like a total prick, and I deserved her anger and more.

Since I stopped her from leaving the pack this afternoon, she had retreated to the infirmary, presumably to avoid any contact with me. I tried apologising, but she brushed it off and pretended I wasn't there. She even attempted to move her things out of our shared room, which I didn't allow. I understood her decision to ignore me, but I couldn't let her leave.

I couldn't imagine the pack finding out what was happening and using it as gossip. It wouldn't be long, though, if Winter kept acting towards me in the manner she was.

I headed toward the infirmary, but my steps faltered as Jude bumped into me. I raised an eyebrow and glanced at him as he gasped for air.

"Did you run a marathon?" I teased, shaking my head. "That's the last thing you'll ever do, I know."
