Chapter Forty Four - Hiking

I woke up with a faint tap on my shoulder. I was about to complain about that specific someone when he spoke. “Hey, wake up, we are here.”

I swiftly blinked and instinctively leaned back, startled by the sudden proximity of his face to mine. To diffuse the awkwardness, I feigned a yawn, my hand discreetly grazing my face as if to mask the discomfort of the moment.

“O-Oh really?” I cupped my face and tried to pull myself back from reality. I have to be fully awake, especially when we are climbing mountains.

“You look so cute sleeping, I missed watching you like that.” Paul happily stated. I wanted to lash out because he saw me in that state.

I wonder what he did to me when I was still asleep? If he touched me, I’ll give him a punch he will never forget!

No. I should not be like this. I have to convince him that I am trying so hard to participate in what he wants.
