Butterflies

"Wow," I breathed once his mother was out of sight. "So, I got to meet the mother of one of the nation's finest superstars."

"Yes?" He answered with a smile.

"And she's a rolling ball of energy."

He let out a short laugh. "You could say that again."

I laughed. "She's elegant and beautiful and friendly."

He stared at me for a few seconds before giving a nod. "Thank you." He smiled.

I responded with a smile of my own and took my bag to bring out the script for his next project –the reason for the visit when his voice came.

"I noticed you haven't touched your coffee."

I looked from him to the cup of coffee sitting pretty on the table.

"Ah, yeah." I replied, halting my movement. "I was waiting for it to cool a little bit."

He gave a slow nod and proceeded to continue sipping his own coffee but then I discovered something.

"And you're drinking plain coffee." I raised my brows at him, gesturing at his near empty cup. "No offense, but how do you do that?" I asked, placing the script on
