CHAPTER 82

The figure Marline saw approaching her before she finally passed out, took her to a secluded cave.

She prepared all sorts of herbs and concoctions for the injured Marline and applied them on her wounds.

She fed her concoctions even while unconscious and was determined to save her, because her pulse was encouraging.

''I wonder what this stranger could have done to deserve such a cruel punishment like this.''

''Even death is way better than this.'' The figure said to herself.

She carried a bowl of water and a neat towel to where Marline laid.

She dropped a disinfectant into the water, to clean the wounds before covering it up in bandages.

She was in the middle of cleaning the wounds, when she spotted a purple mark on Marline's upper arm.

She was so scared that she threw the bowl in her hands. She had seen this same mark on her late mother's arm.

'Could my late mother be related to this lady?'

'I need to save this lady at all costs. Perhaps she could provide some answers
