Chapter Seventy Four

Lilith's POV

I'm snapped right of the bedroom we were just in and into a garden as green as the eye can see.

My feet hit the ground, and I fall off balance to the side as I try to catch my balance before I faceplate the floor.

The man stands before me, his purple eyes glistening like the night sea as he watches me make a fool of myself.

"You're Theseus, aren't you?" I ask because he's strikingly similar to the man standing away from us when I met with Celeste, who didn't greet me even though he sought to look at me.

My... father.

"Yes. I am Theseus." He rasps lowly at me as he looks around with wide, worried eyes.

Is he waiting for someone?

"Where are we? How did you materialise us here? What do you want from me..?"

"That's a lot of questions, kid. I've brought you here to teach you what you need differently. I cannot watch you suffer anymore."

"You've been watching me? How?"

"The fountain of sight, child. Come, this way now. We mustn't have you seen up here," he summons me.
