Bennett and Alpha Rick stared down at the breathless rogue that was knelt before them with disdain clear on their faces.

“Well?” Bennett demanded in a cold voice, “Did you complete the mission successfully or not?”

“We did, sir. The majority of Alpha Ryan’s elite fighters are neutralized, but we took heavy losses during the fighting.” The rogue said mentally counting down the minutes he had left until the poison stopped his heart. He could already feel the slight tingling sensation in his muscles that showed it was starting to take effect.

Bennett reached for his head and yanked his hair to lift his face to the light, sneering at the bloody mess that his face was in before shoving him backward.
