chapter 43 An Uncomfortable Situation

I stood uncertainly on the stage in front of all of the guests that still clapped enthusiastically in the wake of my unexpected performance, and I wasn’t really sure what to do with myself next.

I had been so used to being the one that nobody noticed and nobody cared about back in my fathers pack, that receiving attention like this was rapidly becoming overwhelming.

I could feel my face begin to flush and the bright lights that focused on the stage interfered with my ability to see too far into the crowd in front of me.
