Felise's Journey

"Are you kidding me?" I asked Razel in disbelief.

"No, I'm not, Felise," he said, his voice serious. "Dad was right. We should not have sealed a deal with the devil. Even if his pack cannot find Ezra, Alpha Damien will still collect the payment of the bargain. If we cannot give him what he wants, he will ask for something else. And that would be your wolf if I am not mistaken."

A bridge of silence immediately swallowed the tiny space of my car right after that. Even if my eyes were pointed at the road ahead of us, my brain could not help but think of what Razel just told me.

My werewolf instinct earlier kicked in, telling me that we made the wrong choice seeking help from someone we barely know. Let alone Ezra and I are not part of their pack.
