24| Supreme Power

Jace Dauntess wasn't there, and his private room was empty. Rain stood alone like a confused person.

"Master Dauntess?" called Rain while looking around for the man's whereabouts. Rain thought Jace was making a joke and hid.

The wind was blowing hard from the wide-open window. The dark curtains floated in the wind. Rain had to cover her face while walking there.

"Where is he going? Jumped out of the window?" thought Rain.

Rain stood in front of the window staring at the darkness of the Darkwood forest with a shivering body.

"Hah, this is ridiculous! He would definitely die if he actually jumped from here, right? I'm sure it's just a trick." Rain pulled the window and locked it tightly again.

"Humph!" she sighed. Rain began to pay close attention to the interior of Jace's room. "He must be hiding here."
