“She won’t believe you.” I mutter as Daphne starts pacing the bedroom.

“But I have proof now.”

“What you have is something that just shows you were lying and Lilah will think you have been after her.”

“But I wasn’t. I’m not lying about this Linc and you know it.”

“It doesn’t matter what I think. Lilah is pissed at you. She won’t believe this even if I was the one to tell her. Like I said, the photos just make it seem like you’ve been keeping more secrets.”

Daphne slams the photos down on her bedside table. “What am I supposed to do then?”

“We will figure it out.”

“How? She won’t talk to me. I can't stand it. I worked so hard to make her like me.”

“We need concrete evidence. The photos won’t be enough. Your grandma’s house, what happened to it?”

“Nothing, my grandfather still lives there. He was on Callies list.” She shrugs her shoulders at me. “I assumed she had been there. But my grandfather won’t be of any help. He never believed grandma.”
