He did nothing.

Colt was an absolute bastard for not helping her. He had just stood by and watched, refusing to let anyone in to help her.

Marching across the grounds, I look for my sister, frustrated that I could no longer mindlink her.

“She survived then?” Aiden mutters from the porch. He studies me with those strange grey eyes of his.

“You assumed correctly. Do you know where my sister is?”

“Callie’s inside.”

I go to walk past him, but he sticks a leg out blocking my way.

“What do you want, Aiden?” I was in no mood to talk to him.

“It’s not a good thing that she survived. At least, not yet it is.”

“What the fuck are you talking about Aiden? Is this why no one helped her? You have all decided that she must die, after everything she has done for us?”

“Dad was doing what he thought was right and he is doing what he thinks is right, now.”

“Right! What the hell is right about letting someone nearly die when he could have helped her.”
