Orders are orders! The next four weeks passed slowly. Senses training wasn’t quite what I expected. An unwanted journey. My stress levels were incredibly high. Lance, Mav and Tucker left with the security detail on Wednesday evening and the King. A family reunion. I woke up hot and sweaty, but not enough to soak the bed sheets, thank goddess. I didn’t want to explain my nighttime memories to Rafe. It was early, 5am.
