Chapter Twenty-One

Cake shop sanctuary.

“Lance?” I plea to him to control himself.

“I said RUN!” He screams angrily at me. Yet he said he would never be angry at me. A whimper leaves my wolf as we move just in time as Hong crashes out of the canteen and tackles Lance to the ground. That should buy me some time, but where on earth was I meant to run to? My legs started to move towards the front of the training facility. I could hear both Lance’s and Hong’s wolves howling at my increasing distance. I run towards the town, hoping I can find somewhere open to hide in. Maybe the coffee shop will be open by now. I continue to run at full speed glancing over my shoulder every now and again just to make sure I am alone. All of a sudden a sharp pain creeps up my lower abdomen and I can tell my heat is now on full whack. But it’s never been this painful before! So painful in fact that I collapse to the ground rolling around in pain. The shooting pain then switches to my lower back and my wolf whimpers again but
