Chapter thirteen

Ashlyn's POV

I walked down the stairs and went to the kitchen to seek Roselia, but she was nowhere to be found. I stood in the hallway wondering where she was when my ears picked the sound of Lucifer's voice.

I was about to turn to the direction when I saw Ripper walking towards me with a smile.

"Milady." He greeted.

"Ripper. How are you today?" I said flashing him a smile.

"Very well thank you. The alpha wants you in his study." He replied.

"Oh, okay." I said with a puzzled expression as I followed him. I wondered why Lucifer wanted to see me.

I was just waking up and I have not done anything wrong. Or was it a crime now to wake up by this time? With Lucifer, anything was possible.

We got to the study and I saw three other men with Lucifer. I could identify only one and that was Killian, his second in command.

I said not a word until I was finally spoken too.

"Is she who we're really going to make use of?" One of the other two men asked scanning me from head to toe.
