The night came and the party was in full swing, Danny introduced me to Rita, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that she was very different from Mabel, where Mabel was soft around the edges, Rita was rough, where Mabel was gentle,, Rita was not, she spoke only a few sentences but that seemed to do something to Danny because she would not stop staring, Mabel was a laugher, if there was anything like that, but Rita didn’t crack a smile, and she knew how to handle her liquor. She must also like Danny because she monitored everything Danny was drinking. I thought it was kind of cute.

What wasn’t cute was the fact that since he had made all the food, Victor had nowhere to be except by my side. It was more than frustrating, after I said yes to go on a date with him, please don’t ask me why he had a ring for a date, he said it was a promise ring, and until I had fulfilled my promise to go on a date with him, I wasn’t suppose to take it off, only to return it after the date.
