“Why did it feel like that was pointedly directed us?” Chris says with a shiver.

Because the petty priest was talking to us, I say to myself.

“Must be our guilt speaking.” I flash him a playful smile and he gives me one right back.

“Now, asides the mango juice, what else did you pack?” he says peeking into the basket.

“You don’t know what your bestie packed? Haven’t you guys done something like this before?” one brunette teen asks me.

“They haven’t! We already beat these losers.” Her bestie says with a snicker.

They both chuckle and return to their lunch. I narrow my eyes at them, they would be too easy to ruin if I wanted to.

“You look like you are thinking the same thing I am thinking.” Chris whispers.

I quirk my brow in his direction, he gives me a tiny nod in their direction, the brunette was telling the other girl how her mother almost added pickles to their sandwiches even after she knew her friend hated it. They laughed about it together.
