Chapter 15: Nocturnal visit

With the cold breeze hitting harshly against her window, Charlene could barely get any sleep. The night was long and dawn was slow in coming. She had slept for what she believed was hours and had awakened, only to find out that it was just a little past midnight.

It had been almost two hours and she had been unable to go back to sleep. She tossed and turned, trying to get comfortable but sleep continued to elude her. Her mind was occupied with thoughts of one person - Calvin Moss.

With her father's plan, she had been able to find out that he was a werewolf. Charlene suddenly sat up, baffled by how she didn't manage to notice from the beginning. Werewolves always masked their scents, so much that other werewolves couldn't detect them in a crowd. However, Charlene had always been able to tell.

If she didn't witness how he had reacted at the park, she could have sworn that he wasn't a werewolf. What bothered Charlene the most was what her brother had claimed to see on the night of the
