POV

Sitting in my living room with my best friend. Is the best surprise ever. She returned from her honeymoon two nights ago and did not tell me. When she knocked on the door a little over an hour ago, I could not believe my eyes.

“You’re back early…” I comment sipping my tea.

Pregnant woman cannot eat a lot of the things I used to chuck down my throat. Like coffee. I was eighty percent coffee before. I feel drained and I cannot even have coffee for the next seven months. I cannot wait to be a human being again.

“Yeah, we had to come back early. I got sick and we were miserable.” She says sipping her tea.

“Food poisoning?” I ask.

She shakes her head. “I was at the doctors yesterday and guess what, it seems like our babies will be best friends growing up and a lot closer in age than you can imagine…” she says.
