After one hour, Dr. Hartley arrived at the BMZ Maternity Hospital and went straight to the private room occupied by Sherry.
"Hello, dear. How are you feeling now?" Dr. Hartley asked.
"Still the same, doc," Sherry replied, sitting upright on the bed. "I had eaten a banana and avocado smoothie a while ago, and thanks God, I haven't vomited yet."
"That's good," Dr. Hartley said. "Um, the spotting still continues, right?"
Sherry nodded her head. "Yeah."
"Let's have a pelvic exam first, then an ultrasound next to see the baby's condition," Dr. Hartley said.
Sherry looked at the doctor apprehensively. "Um, doc, is it painful?" she asked anxiously.
Dr. Hartley shook her head. "No. But you will feel uncomfortable. It won't take long, so no need to feel scared. I will make the whole process as gentle as possible," she said reassuringly.
"OK. So what's gonna happen during a pelvic exam, doc? And how long it takes?" Sherry asked worriedly
