FORTY THREE

              The sight out the window wasn't the centre of my thoughts. I was glad for my mother but it was so sudden for me. I always dreamt of her smiling, cooking for us, going out on weekends, and building our happy castle. I wasn't picturing a fourth person in our life. 

      "You haven't said a single word to Charles," Silver said, shifting the gear. 

     I thought I would ignore the answer. I couldn't escape all the time. The truth will be better, "I don't know what to say to him." I muttered. 

      "He's a nice man. My family knows him before my birth." She said. 

      "Do you have siblings?" I asked. 

      "Em!" She stared at me. 

      "I'll try to talk to him." I shrugged my shoulders.
