Chapter 45 - It Can't Be Over

Jane was devastated walking in on Lucas making out to someone they believe was his enemy. She couldn’t say a word as tears rolled down her cheek. She only came to inform Lucas that she has forgiven him only to see more reasons not to forgive him. She didn’t want Lucas to come any close to her. She left and slammed the door after her.

“Oh no!” Lucas cried out in a disappointed tone falling back to the couch with both hands on his head.

“What was that all about?” asked Alicia. With Alicia able to manifest a psychic ability, she could easily get information out from Lucas without asking. She chose not to. She just wants Lucas to be the one to tell her.

Lucas glanced at Alicia. “It’s a long story,” he said. He made his way to the couch and threw himself on the couch. He covered his face in shame and at the same time felt remorse. He didn’t expect Jane to show up. He just got busted. Getting busted didn’t feel good.
