PRECIOUS

After Duke walked out of the door, I stared at it for a few minutes wishing he could come back and listen to me. I knew Nate got on my nerves, he was trying to please me and that was obvious. But the truth was, I thought that the whole thing was rather unnecessary.

"He'll be fine, lol. He's not a kid anymore so chill darling, he will be fine." Nate's voice shooed me out of my musings, and I turned to face him. Even at this point he was still trying to impress me, wasn't he ashamed?

He winked at me then he reached and grabbed my hand but I flicked his hand away. I was in no mood to entertain anyone until I saw Duke again, especially not him.

"Don't touch me, Nate. Duke is out there and we have no knowledge of where he is so please spare me your speech so that I can plan my next step!" I stomped my feet angrily, fixing angry eyes on him.
