Chapter 28: Melissa and Ambrose
"Afternoons," remarked Kenzie as she leaned closer to Melissa. "I guess three o'clock is girl time."
Melissa chuckled after closing the cash register and said, "You could say that again. We can make it official every three in the afternoon."
Pointing to Kenzie, she clarified, "For as long as it is not busy. It's coffee time for us."
"Absolutely, ma'am!" Kenzie confirmed, giving Melissa a salute.
Melissa Web, her boss, and the cafe's manager was absolutely a doll. Kenzie thought she was beautiful with short red hair and azure eyes. What Kenzie liked best about Melissa was her energetic personality.
They each made themselves their own choice of coffee and drank as they chat behind the counter while there was no new customer. So far, only a few that came in during lunch stayed behind, finishing their coffee and utilizing the shop's internet.
