"Ladies and gentlemen, to our English guests and local Braetoneans, it is time to welcome the celebrant for today! The new princess of the Wrights and the only princess of the noble family of the Kentworthys," a hostess announced, calling everyone's attention.
The sound of trumpets could evidently be heard as heralds stood in the aisle of The Second Diamond Hotel's grand ballroom, playing the instruments in their hands. They all gave way for the princess to arrive.
