Well Zander never came back, he said he would be here by five, but it’s already six and a quarter to seven.
I was trying to finish my lunch from 2 hours ago, key word trying, but I was not hungry(as always). Then I felt a shiver go down my spine, meaning one thing. Reginald. I knew because that only happened when he was near, which was not surprising we all got shivers from the cold, as does he radiate off him to anyone really. Feeling his presents, I wanted to say that I knew he was there, but something stopped me from saying it.
“Hello, my sunshine stuck in the devil’s cell, again” A whisper to my ear said. I sat there probably pale as him not knowing what to say next, he jumped down from the ceiling, making me move back a little in shock. He stood in front of me with a different suit, all black, but instead of a black tie it was red. Not a big difference, but I did notice his eyes were blood-red, indicating he ate before coming here.
“Reginald, do you want an army of wolves to attack you?” I questioned, putting my head to the side, praying he would say what I wanted him to say.
“You know sunshine, I would love that. No worries, I only came here to ask you if you were coming to dinner with, but it looks like you already have.” He stated, looking down at my plate and right back at me.
Why would he ever think that he knows I can’t just go out to dinner, just because we have an alliance doesn’t mean I need to be in every meeting they had.
“I should start going before that wolf you were talking about before—,”
A sudden bang came from the door, interrupting his last words, by the smell and noise and the mutters outside I knew who was here and rushed before they broke down the door. Opening it two familiar creatures came crashing in falling on the floor right on the floor, they stood up quickly, patting off the invisible dust and rushing in front to protect me.
“Daisy. Zander what a pleasure seeing you both here. May I help you?” He smiled, raising his brow, another arrogant smirk appearing.
“You know the rules no one comes into this room NOT EVEN YOU REGINALD, you know that.” Daisy said, getting right up in his face, ready to hex the trousers off him.
“You know,” He stepped on the side of Daisy. “I heard you….never mind”
“ You heard what.” She said grinding her teeth having him stop in amaze gliding in front of me and giving a wink.
“I heard that you are my little sunshine—” He chuckled, placing her black hair and putting it behind her ear. “Mentor for magic,” He chuckled again. “But I—" Pausing for a sec looking at her in disgust, “Don't think you, — are ready for that responsibility, I mean you can’t even control your shifting, so why would you Mr. Alpha even think you can control my sunshine’s magic yourself.” He pointed his ebony finger at her, his eyes went up and down, disgusted by the shifter.
Ladies and gentlemen, I will warn you know, please excuse the foul screams and awful language that is about to be said.
“WHAT THE HEX. DID YOU JUST SAY.” She screamed at the top of her lunges, immediately changing to a dark hazel to a violet. Not even surprised at the yell he just looked at her with not emotions “Tell. Me. What. You. Just. Say” giving him a deathly stare, a stare of anger.
“Oh Daisy,” In a soft and mellow whisper, yet before he could say anything else Artemis barged in here and without a word separated both Shifter and Vampire away from each other.
“You,” He pointed at Reginald. “I told you No going into Lavender’s room.” Staring straight into the semi blood eyes.
“And you,” to Daisy.
“No yelling, I can hear you from a mile away.”
“ And you,” to Zander. “I told you to watch and protect her, not bring her in danger!” He growled at each one of them, I stepped back, knowing it was about to get messy. So as he was yelling at all three of them sneaked my way through the door hoping to get out with getting notice, thankfully I didn't and started running from the scene picking up my dress, so I don't fall. Running through the hall, only hearing the pants of my breath and the soft stops from my heels— I smiled as I got further away, thinking .... I was free.
I kept looking back making sure none of them came after me, slowing down noticing 2 maids coming up in the distance, keeping my breathing to a minimum.
Not only that, but I tried slowing down my chest in breathing to not look like a just ran walking past them, I smiled like nothing happened, they smiled back then putting their heads down. I felt relieved, but still having nerves in me, I went up to the curtain right under the stairs. I know weird place to have curtains behind them was a picture of Artemis, sister Summer, may she be in peace.
I lightly touched the canvas only to use the head of my fingers opening a secret passage, the golden flower that was on the bottom of the frame. I stepped back waiting for the canvas of art to open, hearing a faint creaking sound as the door slowly opening the door, watching an unlighted hallway of stairs turns to a shade of blue flames, walking down the steep circular steps the automatic flames appear I felt as if I was being watched. Yet not from a creature more like an electric device...maybe it's just me.
Finally, taking my last couple of steps, making it to the bottom, the door slide open I ran out as a cold breeze flew through me, knowing I’m much closer to being out. Much closer to a less claustrophobic room. The garden. A glorious place to be and de-stress. With flowers and many types of plants from other parts of the whole land. Some from the north and, some from the west all beautiful but interesting greenery.
Breathtaking from the smell of the vanilla and tea rose picking up the watering pot on the little cart next to the humorous goblins. Oh, I wouldn’t ask what is a humorous goblin is, let’s just say they are not the nicest plant walking past I started watering the Dropling Aqui’s, making sure each one gets a good amount of water and love. I smiled as I said “I love you aqui” to each one.
In the corner of my eye a shadow figure was creeping up on me, I strolled away like I didn’t see them and when I turned I made sure to put down the watering pot. Closing my eyes, cupping my hand together making a crystal ice ball, throwing the ball at the unknown stranger, hearing the ice particles stick to the stranger.
Of course then also hearing a man scream turning around quick enough knowing the man I hit, slowly turning to the icicle creature cringing at sight, standing in front of the 6 almost 7 foot Griffin, using the flick of my wrist turning not so of a stranger Zander back. I looked back down but immediately looking back up feeling the familiar hug, closing my eyes, warmth going through my entire body. Not even noticing that the temperature pop dropped drastically.
“You’ve been very sneaky today Lavy, why so?” He said as an calm chuckle came out, shrugging my shoulder in defense I looked back at Zander hoping he wouldn't get upset himself for me running away, both of us stare into each other eyes before I could answer we were disrupted by an bilious wolf, an quiet daisy, and an vexed bat.
Surprisingly for the first time I saw Reginald’s slick hair out of place, his eyes were no longer blood-red, with what it’s looks like hints of worry on his stone-cold face. All 3 of them walked up to the both of us with different emotions on their face, but for some reason something seamed different about them. I don't know if it was the smell of the freesia or the way they walked over to us, cutting the silence Artemis grabbed me by my arm squeezing it to ensure I do not leave his grip. He pulled me inside walking at a quick pace, me not being able to catch up to him, I stopped walking, making Artemis notice my stop.
He looked back in frustration but gave me the sign to go, not wanting to waste any time, a bit of wind blew through me bringing a light shimmer to start forming around my body. My wings fluttered on my back causing my to flutter up in the air I took a deep breath finishing the process and opening my eyes, my wings slowed down a little gold dust and flower petals fell down on the way. Hearing more whispers and chuckles from the back I turned around still above the ground.
“What? Did I do something wrong.” I said putting my head to the side in confusion.
“No sunshine. " Reginald said putting his hands in his pockets, after we walked through the halls luckily having no interruptions between.
We all arrived to the forbidden room or really just Artemis study. The only reason we call it that, because it said’s before you walk in DO NOT ENTER. In red too. Letting us all in, having one of the guards close the door for us. I thanked him and looked back at Artemis, and he looked like well...bad. God, how long has I’ve gone for
“Lavender please come here,” He said motioning me with two fingers to his desk, step by step I came closer to him panic-stricken flew to me, the air was thick from the tension still in it the worst part was when I looked at Daisy she put her own head down in quiet. Which was as sign meaning whatever he was going to tell me was probably more important than I think.
“Lavender, I know how you hate the anticipation, so I will just come to the chase.” He stood up from the desk giving a worried look as is, which made me more nervous than ever.
“You're going to school. " He stated clear as day night.
Shocked, I couldn’t believe it. Was he joking with me? I looked at him seeing if there was any laughter or any type of joke into his eyes or somewhere, but there wasn’t. I was going to school. Jumping up making my wing flap like they never did before giggling on the way up in the sky I came back down with a big grin on my face.
“Lavy,” Was all I heard when I turned around, he still had the same look on his face. I didn’t understand why was he so worried of me going to school I mean he’s never gone nor have I, so it would be fun. Making friends like actual creature's would do, and not just plants!
“Lavender Emerald Jewels, get your wings down here NOW!!!.” Artemis yelling into my ears making me scream and almost fall to the floor. Before I did, I was able to gain balance back, flying back to the ground, trembling as I take my steps towards Artemis. My wings shivered, but I didn’t understand why was he getting like this?
“Lavender yes, you are going to school, but the thing is—” He looked nervous but notice on how I was looking at him, so he straightened his posture. “You're going to Utopia.”
Utopia, a place where the biggest fairies and wolves can come and be themselves. Where we can all be in peace, and do whatever we want, but what made me wonder was why Artemis would be so puzzled? I mean, I’ve never exactly left the castle. It’s my home. Yet I am getting older and to be honest I’m excited I was finally leaving, plus the greatest of things is that I’m not going alone anymore.Zander and Daisy as well got letters that invited them there which you can say. It’s a little weird cause Utopia High is one of the hardest Academic school to get into. Evermore I will not be going into this knowing that if I do, I will regret it. The only con is that I, Daisy and Zander have only a day to pack. It’s odd as I disheveled my room to the bare it seemed as it was centuries ago when I was younger praying to all goddesses. The Moon Goddess, Aura Goddess of Pixies and so many more.I would pray under full moons, northern lights, blood moons, streams and so much m
In a stumble out of the dinette both me and Zander were shocked, especially for Zander himself I could see he still couldn’t comprehend what happen. Most creatures would be happy and not ask any questions but when you’ve lived our life the life of being tucked away in a castle for pretty much your entire life when things start changing like now. Finally going outside, going to school, having a bodyguard that is not a stranger, it's weird in so many ways, but it’s something I myself have waited for, and the moment is here, so I must take it. When we walked out chest risen and splinting headaches from our thoughts. Daisy was on the opposite side of the door playing with her wand enchanting her hair into different colors. As the door shut that was when she snapped her head up and gave a frown. Not her usual faced frowns but a true frown. “So, are you to going to tell me what just happened in there.” Daisy asked, casually placing her wand in the center of her scattered ponyta
As the carriage dropped us off at the bus stop I looked around seeing only a couple passengers were getting on the bus. But what couldn’t hide was a malodorous of rusted coal with Ogar poop, though there was a hint of chocolate cookies.Either way Most of them don’t even look like they still go to school, there was a man leaning on the pole sleeping with a blanket over him, a young lady with two cats in her hand brushing both kittens while muttering something too them.Luckily there was a boy who looked our age but also looked intimidating, as well he wore a black leather jacket with some type of symbol of a demon— no a gargoyle on the back. More clear on his hefty stone wings that popped out of him. He had a Greek tan that seemed almost on the verge of burnt cripes, with pure black greased hair slipped back. Only one strain of white streak sticking out, as he kept his head down but when I looked closer he had fearsome indigo orbs. The glances from hovered over us as deadly sins do w
I still could not believe that I’m in Utopia, one of the best schools to learn everything to set you up in life. A place where you will learn how to control the magic inside you, even if you wanted to live in the Nun world, it still a glorious place, plus you could even take classes her about the Nun world and how to survive it. Headmistress Light Heart gave a tour of the school showing us all the classrooms introducing us to some teachers there.Greenhouses, Labs, Library's, Dragon Arena, Training Center, she said on the weekends we could go to the village Avalon we saw before, as she did, she told us more history about the school telling us what the rooms used to be before they were turned into what they were now, like the classrooms were really the guest rooms for whom ever stayed in the castle. When we got to the castle Professor Randolph and Zaro left us without even saying goodbye, or that it was nice to meet us, unusual correct.“Well my apples of joy unfortunately this is wh
For the rest of the day while Venus and Crystal were signing up for clubs, and reuniting with old friends. Both Snow and I talked about pretty much everything Snow talked about how she was an only child and how her parents don't really appreciated her, so she tried to get accepted to the same school they went to when they were her age. When she did get accepted, they still didn’t care and said “If you were going to impress us do something one of a kind something never done before.” Ever since then she’d try to do everything she can but failed every time, eventually she stopped impressing her parents and just waiting to get out of this school. I felt bad on how I judge her, on the outside even though she wasn’t the most talkative, she looked— perfect. Even when she was taking her life when she was little, before her parents started ignoring her you could tell she had the dream. A life all kids could want I told her a little about me, telling her about how I stayed in the castle
We were all out of the dark forest, knowing outside the court being the only ones there, but still worried about what we should do about Zander. He sat under a tree mumbling words to a song. I never saw the soft side of him, it was nice. Though it had the rest of us surrounding him pondering what to do next.“Wait why are we standing here again?” Venus asked already forgetting we have an underage drunk Griffin out.“Oh Wicca help me— he’s drunk Venus and if we bring him to dinner everyone will know.” Daisy pled pulling her raven hair as she prayed.“Wait if he’s drunk why don’t we just take him to Crystal. She has always drunk herself, so she uses a potion from a witch in an upper class to help her get sober um-fast.” Snow finally said, having me and Daisy smile wide. Daisy ran to her gently grabbing both of her cheeks and kissing them, then started running around the court thanking the Wicca for her blessing.Snow giggled holding onto her cheeks from the kiss that did make her c
It was the morning the vivid sun was beaming out of the window reflecting off of the clear curtains the rays of sun gleaned down hitting my face.I rubbed my eyes squinting hard as I opened them to see the bright sun. I put my hand covering my face to prevent the sun from burning my orbs I sat up, fixing my curls out of my face. My head turned to my nightstand seeing that the first meal of the day was going to start in about an hour.My eyes gazetted around the room, still shocked that I was here I put my hand up to my mouth in shock that this wasn’t a dream, thinking of what happened last night. The girl-mini sleepover turned into a girl party with a lot of dancing and a lot of feminists. After the toss and turns I finally got up to see at first both Snow and Venus were still sleeping, tip-toeing to the walk-in closet. I knew the dress code from what Venus said yesterday, so I tried dressing modestly. Only having dresses and some skirts from the castle, mainly from when I was a c
Second period was about to start and since we didn’t want to have another war with the Gargoyles we left to the cottage leaving Hades and his brother alone. Also, his dad Professor Zaros heard the news about Zander and Hades' brother, Dominic getting into a fight, so we didn’t want to bump into him.“Hey Zander, Lavender, where were you guys?” Daisy yelled out name running towards us giving one big hug to us, following Snow and Venus.“Yeah um—Zander over here got into a fight.”“What Zander out of all the people you know not to get into any fight, you promised!” She pouted though her anger showed pulling her lower lip out whimpering the last part.“I know, but they were asking about Lavender I—”“Wait who was talking about my little dove.” Interrupting Zander she screamed gesturing her hands together in a gun, she took a deep breath in turning around doing the cross. “Tell me who.” Grinding her teeth and stomping her foot like a baby who wants candy, still keeping her back on us.“Da
