A Glint Of Hope

As Bella walked into the hospital premises, she greeted some of the staff she met on her way before heading straight to the Intensive care unit where her father was admitted. She stood at the door for a few seconds, exhaled quietly before plodding inside.

Her father was lying on the bed with series of machines connected to his body, the beeping of the machines could be heard at successive intervals and the omnipresent smell of antiseptic could be perceived.

She carefully placed the flowers she brought on the bed and sat down so close to him.

"Hey, Dad! Good evening. I wouldn't ask if you're feeling better because It is obvious that you are not comfortable In this state of total darkness. I know you can hear me but you can't reply or see me. It's sad, I missed you, daddy.

I'm here again to tell you how my life has been going; I'm getting back on my feet gradually.

My days at Golden Ville are kind of favorable. I get mouth-watering pay at the end of the month though I can't comp
