84: trauma story

It seemed to be more than mere coincidence that every time we met we had to encounter the Gaku. I wasn't afraid but I was definitely surprised that he still cared this much about me.

"Don't move, it's coming closer to us, don't freak out, trust me,'' he said. I couldn't hold it in, excuse me. "Um freaking out is not in my dictionary. You should worry about yourself."

"Now is not really the time for you to show your skills and ability, just shut up and listen to me." He sounded irritated.

The smell of the Gaku lingered even more than it did before and I knew that he was right. It was closer to us. He tightened his grip around my waist and kept still.

"Are we just going to stand here and do nothing and expect it to just divert its direction? Come on man, we have to kill it. I wiggled free from his hold. I saw the panic flash through his eyes as they darkened.

I picked the snake up by its neck, tightening my grip around its neck. It hissed loudly, trying to dig its fang into something.
