Chapter 62: Lily

When I wake up, my lungs are still burning, but the scent of apple pie and the feeling of my mate wrapped around me in my hospital bed soothes the ache in my lungs. The doctors run a bunch of tests and are shocked at how quickly I have healed. A serious silver injury like this should have had me out for weeks. I don’t feel great, but I definitely feel better.

I find out what happened in the two days I was out. My parents were banished on the evening of my birthday. Clint told me that Cali stayed with me while he went to watch.
