It was the coldest evening of the city so far in the previous ten years. The windows of the three-storey manor were left open only for the wind to march inside. Actually like an undetectable beast the breeze was prepared to make each being shiver in its essence. Even though the climate was sufficient to freeze anybody, the lady in her twenties who was perched on the floor of her examination in a side seat position wasn't influenced. The breeze couldn't make her bone-chilling in any event, when the solitary attire covering her body was a slim cotton white robe.

A book named "The housewife's dilemma." laid on her lap while her eyes stuck to the moon she could see from the window. It was a warm smooth shine in the sky however it was isolated.

Individuals always appreciated it from afar.

She wondered whether the moon also wanted company so that it could not feel alone. The stars were there, however excessively far from it to accompany it. The moon was one of a kind, that's why it was admired more.

Its perfection had cost her big, she mused.

She was lost in her relentless contemplations that didn't see the door squeaking open. A lady in her mid-fifties had entered. She called her, however, she didn't hear until she strolled nearer and put her hand on her shoulder, calling softly, "Mrs. Kohli."

The girl was taken out of her musings and turned to the offender who had broken her precious thoughts. She was none other than Aditi Kohli, spouse of business head honcho Vidyut Kohli, the one the entire world appreciated. Vidyut was the man of every girl's dreams, however, the fortunate young lady to have him was Aditi.

"Dinner?" The lady inquired.

"Did he come?" Aditi enquired. Albeit the answer was known yet somehow like every other night she still had hope. The woman would not like to disillusion her however wasn't left with any choice. She smiled faintly and replied, "He called a few seconds ago. He is on the way, and will be here in an hour or so."

That was a lie. The one they were discussing hadn't called. Hearing her, Aditi sighed. She was disappointed once more.

"Why don't you have your dinner and..." The woman attempted to persuade Aditi who intruded on her in mid and said, "You should rest, Rosa. You have been exerting yourself for me." Rosa was the chief caretaker of the old mansion and was the only one who took care of the lady of the house, Aditi.

"You have to take your medicine as well." reminded Rosa.

"I will have them," Aditi answered, getting up from the floor. While she was keeping the novel on the shelf behind her, Rosa addressed, "What about dinner?"

She was considering how ought to be dealt with the dinner and then came up with an ultimate solution.

"Feed it to the dogs." She gave a brief answer prior to moving out of the study room.

Aditi strolled into her vacant room that possessed a scent like Vidyut's cologne. It stayed there in any event when it had been hours since he had left for office.

She, out of the blue, was feeling uncomfortable. She wasn't relaxed but wanted to.

Her meds were kept on the table. She took it out with the choice of gulping them down her throat but then her plan was jettisoned. She tossed the tablets out of the window before stepping inside the washroom.

Disposing of her garments she remained under the shower. The boiling water in the crisp climate outside fell on her body, consuming her yet she couldn't have cared less. Nothing influenced her any longer; Neither the chilly climate fit for chilling anybody deep down nor the high temp water fit for consuming her spirit.

After she was done she left the shower and stood before the mirror. She cleared the steam off the mirror and gazed at her appearance. Despite the fact that her body had turned red because of the hot water she looked perfect. However, that was the issue, how she was amazing was an issue. She did not want to be perfect. She abhorred the loneliness of the moon which at last had passed to her.

Abruptly, she heard a voice that said,' You should die... '

It was the voice that came from within her head. Her internal identity was encouraging her to make a major stride. It was the fourth time she had heard her, the recurrence of that voice was heightening step by step however with whom she would have shared. There was nobody to listen to her. She shook her head and walked out of the washroom naked not caring about the water trickling down from her body.

She knew regardless of whether she left her room in that state nobody would mind. There was nobody to care. Though she had never tried it but then thought why not. She left her room in her baby suit. Her slender legs took her to the stairs which she descended.

The second she showed up at the dining hall where the female staff was arranging dishes even when she had denied to eat, there was a moment of silence. Every one of them felt shy while she strolled unhesitatingly, ecstatic that she gathered attention. That was her sole intention.

After she sat down at the head seat, she took an apple from the table and bit it. The murmuring among the staff had ejected. Everybody appeared to be bothered. At the point when Rosa came to see if the dinner was plated she discovered the staff murmuring regarding something. Noticing their demeanors she comprehended something had happened. Before she could even enquire, her eyes landed upon the stripped woman of the house. She gaped and was stunned taking a gander at the woman of the house unclothed. Although Aditi seemed cool about it and even smiled at Rosa devouring the fruit in her hand.

Hurriedly Rosa made her way to her, "Mrs. Kohli, your clothes." Rosa seemed perturbed.

"They were disturbing me, Rosa... " She appeared to be easygoing as though it was very normal.

"You will catch a cold." That was the lone thing Rosa could say. She was too humiliated to even think about saying anything further.

"You care for me too much, don't you..." She grinned while Rosa was stressed.

"How might you do this?" She addressed, grieved for the exquisite young lady sitting in front of her.

Irked by the steady guidelines and the concerns Rosa was showing she said, "Oh cut the crap. . It's not like my body parts are different from anyone present here. I have the same ass, same pussy, and similar boobs." The other female staff giggled hearing her while Aditi went along with them as well. Although Rosa's glare stopped them.

"You can touch them if you have a doubt," she said, cupping her breasts.

"Good gracious! Mrs. Kohli, please... " Rosa covered her face while it was stun for the young ladies as well.

"It's great prodding you." She chuckled at Rosa's state. Rosa condemned the young ladies and sent them away before she got an overcoat for Aditi.

She kept the warm clothing over Aditi feeling worried for her.

"I will plate the supper for you. Stand by here." While Rosa was gone to the kitchen to bring the remaining dishes, Aditi stood up and meandered around the eating table. The knife of the cutlery was quite shiny, calling her to pick it up.

'Get it. It's calling you.' The voice from inside was instructing her. She appeared to submit to that voice as she had picked the knife. She ran her index finger over the blade of it which was quite sharp.

'Keep it on your wrist. That is how you will realize if it's sharp.' Aditi was so determined by the voice that she had nearly put it over her wrist, however, emerged from a daze when heard Rosa, "Mrs. Kohli, would you like to have the vegetable stew?"

"Um..yeah... " Aditi right away placed the knife back however the fascination towards it remained. She was getting exhausted and decided to go for a walk.

Swathing her arms around herself over the overcoat she went out barefooted. At first, she strolled on the lawn but she seemed prisoned so walked out of the gate.

She was lucky that the gatekeepers were dozing.

Rosa emerged from the kitchen and discovered the feasting lobby, vacant.

"Mrs. Kohli... " She called, however, no response.

How could she have gotten one when Aditi was gone?

Rosa called for her again and again, but when realized what would have happened, requested the other staff to look for her in every other corner of the house while she left to check whether her doubts were baseless or not.

"Did you see Madam?" She questioned the watchman.

"No, she should be inside, right?"

"Don't tell me you were sleeping again?" " Her pitch was higher. She was irate and frightened too for Aditi.

"I...I....wasn't... " The stammering of the watchman was more than enough to catch his lie. Before long a female staff came running from inside. Her demeanor was sufficient for Rosa to be apprehensive more and her words had her staggered, "She isn't anywhere to be found."

The female staff held her before Rosa could fall. Subsequent to composting herself she turned to the watchman with the solitary goal of reprimanding him, "You realize she can't be left alone, yet, you didn't pay attention."

"I am sorry. I will go and check for her."

"No need for that. Let Mr. Kohli bargain this matter at this point."

"No, please, don't tell him. I will lose my job." He argued however Rosa was too determined on her choice one could comprehend from her answer just, "You ought to have contemplated this before being careless." she spatted before she strolled inside the house.

Rosa without any further ado dialled the one number she was supposed to.

'Kindly get the phone.' She muttered yet was getting disappointed when the call wasn't gotten. She knew Aditi couldn't deal with herself alone while she was out and her only hope was not picking up the call.

She kept on calling him and at last the fourth time the receiver picked up.

"Hello." came the masculine voice.

"Mr.Kohli... "

"Rosa, how frequently do I need to remind you not to hinder me while I am busy." He appeared to be irritated.

"Sorry to disturb you but.... "

"But, what?"

"Mrs. Kohli... " It was sufficient for him to lose his calm.

"I will be there soon... " Giving a brief answer he hung up the call.

I sauntered with no destination in my mind, nor that I needed to have one. I wanted to check where my fate would take me. I was interested to be mindful, till where my legs could take me.

Appreciating the city covered with the vivid lights I strolled ahead. The cold wind was hitting me yet had been failing to put me down. My hair was almost dried up as it flew in the direction of the wind.

I strolled ahead, no idea where I was. I wasn't accompanied by anyone. I was all alone, no one was by my side.

While I moved ahead then came the narrow street. I ventured within it with no fear. People say our safety is in our hands. I wanted to check how much of that saying was true.

Drunk men were sitting by the fire. The flames were giving warmth to their cold body while liquor was warming their throat. None of them paid attention to me.

I was so perfect maybe they thought I was just a hallucination.

I contemplated whether they would act similarly when I would remove the only clothing covering me. My fingers were playing with the two knots of the overcoat in my front.

'Should I remove it?'

'Should I not?'

'Should I remove it?'

'Should I not?'

The voice in my head had slept as if it wasn't ready to play with me then. She didn't say anything.

'That cunning bitch.'

Before I could do anything the men were alarmed by the cops' vehicle siren and fled. I had to drop the plan.

Once again I was all alone. The people in my vicinity left behind and I walked till no living being was in my sight.

My legs halted on a bridge. I glanced around, everything I could see was dark, black as night dark. The sound of the running water coming up to my ears like a jingle. I took a peek at the river.

It intrigued me about what lies within. It appeared it was calling me saying, 'Come to me. We have a different world for you.'

I moved back. I was apprehensive for a bit.

'But you used to be one courageous journalist. How could you step back?' The voice was back once more. It seemed as if she loved to accompany me whenever I would be alone. She was my actual friend.

'Try not to be terrified, Aditi. Take a brief trip and see what is there. Who is calling you?'

"NO." I shook my head.

"I need to go to Vidyut. He should be hanging tight, should be stressed for me." I answered, considering my husband.

'He will discover you. Don't you wanna check whether he discovers you or neglects to do as such.' Her assertion surprised me. Surely, I wanted to see if Vidyut would find me or not.

'Show your fortitude, Aditi Vidyut Kohli. Try not to be afraid.' I wasn't a yellow belly. She needed me to show courage and I did not want to let down my one true companion.

I took steps to the edge and heard her again, 'Jump.'

With no fear I jumped. My body was free-falling and I wasn't terrified, I was simply inquisitive. The second my body hit the water I was taken inside as though I was pulled by somebody.

It was all dim at first but then I saw a pair of black eyes approaching me.

'Was it Vidyut?' I thought before I began asphyxiating and my eyes shut. My craving to be found by my love motivated me to take an adverse step that I might never regret.

The black mercedez  stopped suddenly near a stranded alley and a man in his early twenties hurriedly got out.

He seemed anxious, calling someone repeatedly.

Whoever he was trying to call didn't seem to even bother to pick it up. He was infuriated. Just then a bike arrived at the location.

"Got him?" The one on the bike queried.

"Not yet." the other one replied, shaking his head in denial.

They kept looking here and there in that area for it was the last traced location of the one they both were looking for. Soon enough they noticed an ambulance moving towards the same alley.

Taking the cue, both of them decided to follow the ambulance hoping everything to be fine but then saw a silhouette tall figure walking towards them.

"I called you for like goddamn ten times."  The one who arrived from the car yelled and the one on the bike stood mum, holding a grim expression.

No word came from the guy who had just came back as if got drenched in the rain but it didn't rain that day.

Noticing his complete soaked self he queried again,"Where were the hell were you?"

"Hunting." He replied coolly,  a cocky grin not leaving his face.

He did hunt for his prey and got what he wanted but at what cost?
