Meg had told me she planned to spend her day bonding with Aria which made sense except for the part where Aria calls wanting to ask her mom about her chicken pie recipe.

Why would Meghan lie about spending time with Aria? What could she be up to?

I tried to think of one reason to explain it but there was none. So why?

Her number rang but she didn't answer which was exactly what Aria had said when she called.

I tried to call her two more times then I called it quits when she didn't pick up. I didn't want to come off as clingy or overprotective. It was too early to win that medal.

An hour later, I had called her number more than a million times with twenty texts minus emojis.

As much as I tried to assure myself that everything was okay, I was starting to get worried. Everything was not fucking okay.

What if the killer had gotten to her? She didn't fit the profile of the victims since so far he's been targeting younger women. That did nothing to ease my rising panic.
