“Lower your voice, Ri. My head hurts and be careful with your choice of words. I’m pregnant now. I don’t want my baby to pick up mean words.”

“Yeah, you have a point and I’m so sorry about that. I’ll try my best to use good words from now on. But the baby is probably sleeping since you’ve been out and about all day so I’m sure he or she can’t hear us. Why would Debock give you a card and the next thing that comes to your mind is to trash it?”

“I didn’t want to accept it. He forced me to.”

“That still doesn’t give you enough reasons to trash it.”

“He is doing all of these to please me and I don’t want that. I don’t want to feel indebted to him.”

“No, that’s not the point. You are just being unreasonable and all I see is fear in you.”

“No, I won’t call it fear. This is my decision and I would just like you all to respect it.”

“It’s easier to change your perspective about people and see them in a good light when they start being very sweet to you.”
