"Why are you smiling so brightly?" Bea asked her bestie who was chuckling, replying to a text on her phone.

"You should come to the club tonight."

Beatrice frowned at her. "Have I ever had any reason to be there?"

"Come on, don't act like it's a bad place. Besides, you were there a few months back."

"Yeah," Beatrice rolled her eyes. "That was because I got a call that you were drunk. Obviously, someone had to bring you home."

"You don't need to throw it at my face."

"I would rather stay at home and die of boredom than to be in a crowded place filled with intimidating people, booze, and loud music."

"Wow! Never knew you hated me and my job!'

"No, I don't. I would rather lay on my couch than to be there."

"No problem, I'll tell Dax that you said you would rather lay on your old couch than to come to his party."

Bea turned her attention away from her phone. "It's Dax's birthday?"

"Yes, and he's throwing a party at the club. Free drinks for everyone in the general lounge."
