Being Reckless

Sean's father replied from the other side of the door, "I'm not letting you go until you learn to show your mother and me some goddam respect, you and Amelia can spend the night, and actually show me that you're going to be a functional husband and wife." He departed after saying that.

"Bastard" Sean mumbled beneath his breath. 

"I'm so sorry Amelia, I never anticipated this to happen," Sean said, with a disconcerting look.

"Hey, don't be sorry this isn't your fault at all, it's okay, there's a bed there's a mini freezer, we'll survive the night," Amelia said while smiling. And that made Sean feel comfortable.

They sat on the bed across from each other and began talking.

"All right, let's play a game so we can learn more about each other," Sean suggested shortly.

"What game?" said Amelia.

"It's a game, where you ask something you wanna know about the other person, and you have to give an honest answer," Sean said with a sassy smirk as if he already knew what he wanted to ask.

"Okay, you start," Amelia said because she didn't know what to ask yet.

"All right, how long have you been with that fool, who obviously didn't deserve you to begin with?"

Amelia smiled as she said, "Uhm, I've wasted a little over two years on that fool," and then it was Amelia's turn.

"My turn, did you have a girlfriend before all this crazy shit happened"

"To be honest, I've never been in a real relationship before," Sean said looking deep into Amelia's eyes.

"You mean that you haven’t been in a real relationship, but you have been with someone, right?" Amelia spoke sincerely wanting to know Sean’s past, but she spoke too quickly that she didn't even consider her words she knew that it was wrong of her to ask him such personal questions but she couldn’t help herself.

Sean looked away for a moment and then looked at her as if he couldn’t bring himself, to tell the truth, he just answered blankly “No I have never been with anyone”. He wasn’t good with holding a straight Pokerface so Amelia could instantly read the lies all over his face. 

She knew he was lying and he could tell she didn’t believe him, but she didn’t ask any further questions.

Amelia broke the silence by saying “your turn”

Sean immediately returned to his joyous self and replied" right, what's your life goal”

Amelia had to think for a bit before she answered his question she then said "I guess my goal in life is to be happy and live life to the fullest I guess I also want to have a happy ending, you know"

"And what exactly do you mean by happy ending," Sean said curiously. 

"You know with all this forced marriage thing I guess I just want to end on good terms, you know I want us to actually fall in love before you know 'things happen," She said distantly.

"Things like what?" Sean said confused.

"You know things married people are supposed to do," Amelia said not wanting to explain any further.

"And what are married people supposed to do," Sean said amused, he knew exactly what she was talking about but he wanted the words to come out of her mouth.

"Argh, you're making it weird, you know things like sex, children, traveling the world together. I don't want us to rush into things before we actually know if this is what we want"

The chemistry between Sean and Amelia was strong, he purposely lead Amelia out to the subject of sex, so he would make her blush, it was kind of amusing seeing her blush whenever she talked about them being intimate, almost as if she wanted it to be real. 

That made Sean wanting her even more.

They talked for hours, it seemed like the time flew by purposely, and just like that they fell asleep.

The next morning Sean woke up much earlier than Amelia, so he went to the door to see if it still were locked but no matter how hard he tried the door didn't budge, after his third try at opening the door, he eventually got frustrated, so with all the adrenaline rushing through his veins he accidentally slammed the door with all his might.

Next thing you know, Amelia is awoken by the loud noises coming from Sean.

"Heeey, what has the door ever done you," Amelia said with charisma, she was tired as hell and still she managed to crack jokes on him, she was truly one of a kind, he thought.

"Sorry to wake you, I just wanted to see if the old goat still has the door locked on us, he said frustrated.

Amelia stood up and walked towards Sean, with a seductive grin on her face she pushed him aside.

Sean was confused, one moment she's sleepy as hell and next, she's this hot-looking secret agent trying to open the door with a bobby pin. For him, she was one big secret and weirdly it turned him on.

Just like that, the door opened, Amelia stood up looked at Sean who seemed to be daydreaming, and said.

"Hurry up, take the things you need such as clothes, school work, and all your other crap"

Sean was dazed for a second and then said: " Yes ma'am". He hurried up and took all his clothes and threw them in a backpack with all the other things he needed, he was done within 2 minutes.

Even Amelia was shocked by his performance.

Amelia then asked "are you all packed"

Sean replied " I believe I have everything I need"

They then tiptoed down the stairs trying not to make any noise, but they didn't succeed.

Sean's father heard them, and said with an angry voice "Where do you think you're going"

Sean and Amelia looked at each other and smiled, indistinctly they ran as fast as they could while laughing, halfway to the door Amelia yelled "you drive" while tosing the keys to Sean. Quickly they drove away, leaving everything behind.

Amelia was still laughing in the car; she'd never done anything like that before, and even though she knew they'd be in serious trouble for what they'd done, she couldn't help but smile.

Sean was this new chapter in her life and compared to the previous one, it was full of a lot more interesting and exciting adventures. She knew they'd make a lot of mistakes, but at least they'd do it together.

Even though her teen years were nearly finished, she still felt like she was just getting started as a teenager.

For the first time in her life, she has allowed herself to be a lousy teenager, and it's all thanks to Sean. He makes her feel more comfortable in a whole new way, and strangely, she's willing to try anything with him, even if it fails miserably. There's just something about him that makes her want to do things she hasn't done.

Feeling hot and bothered she says" Pull the car over"

"What’s wrong," Sean said while slowly pulling over, with one intense look Amelia leans into Sean's embrace and intensely kisses him. 

Sean was taken aback by her actions, he then slowly departs their kiss, and asks in a pleasant and confused tone. 

“Are you okay” instead of kissing her and holding her and everything, he asked if she was okay since her actions were so unexpected that he assumed she didn't consider her actions before throwing herself on him.

Amelia then answered slowly and softly without making eye contact ”I want you”

Sean was dumbstruck by her words, he thought he heard her wrong “ca can you repeat that”

Amelia looked out the window and said embarrassed “If you didn’t hear it the first time, then just forget it”

Sean took her hand and tilted her head so she would face him and said in a loving and amused tone “I thought you didn’t want to rush into things, so what’s changed”

She was taken aback, for a moment she didn’t understand, she thought every man looked forward to getting laid or whatever if she had said these words to Jonas he would immediately taken her back to his place and gotten his way with her, or even made love to her in the car. Something was so different with Sean, he seemed more considerate and careful with her it was heartwarming and made her eyes water. 

She didn’t think she would be this weak, because in only seconds she was crying and couldn’t control her emotions. 

Sean embraced her telling her it’s okay to cry, she stayed in his embrace for a little while till she calmed down a little, she then looked Sean in the eyes and said.

“I’m so sorry, I must look completely stupid” In a slightly embarrassed tone, she managed to laugh at her actions. 

Sean looked at her and said “I love when you show emotions it makes you look even more beautiful”

Amelia smiled and felt compelled to explain, so she did. “I’m so sorry for tearing up like this, it's just that for the last 18 years, I've followed the rules, never making a conscious mistake, and always listened and silently agreed with whatever my father wanted for me; god even agreed to a forced marriage ” she laughed and then continued “I even chose to remain virgin for the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, or at least the man I imagined I would spend the rest of my life with, and just like that he decided he didn't want me anymore. I honestly don't know what I did wrong in my life to be treated this way; I just want to be careless and do stupid reckless things for once; I'm sorry if I made things awkward between us; I hope we can forget this weird incident.”

Sean just looked at Amelia, thinking she was the most vulnerable beautiful presence, and he felt bad for her; he wanted to make her smile, to make her feel happy and safe; he knew he could lock her down instantly, make her feel things she'd never felt, make her enjoy herself in ways she'd never imagined; he could make her forget all her pain and sorrow, but he backed down; as much as he wanted to, he couldn't.

The only thing he could do right now to make her happy was for him to make a reckless choice, something he knew she would never even think of doing, he started the engine and said. “I have something to show you” and with that, they drove off.
