Chapter 88

Ally wakes up the following morning. She is laying in the oversized bed in her and Benson’s bedroom. Her body aches and she have trouble turning around.

Ally drags herself out of bed, swinging her legs off the bed and sitting on the side. She steadies herself with her arms holding onto the edge of the bed. Her feet are also aching. Ally cannot remember ever feeling this horrible. But, then again, she cannot really remember anything.

This train of thought brings her back to Megan. She suddenly remembers that she was searching for a cell phone yesterday. She was trying to get a way to get hold of Megan. Ally is a little startled when she notices Benson standing in the doorway.

“Everything okay?” Benson asks her. He has a worried look on his face but there is a strong undertone of annoyance.

“Yes, thank you. Just some aches and pains.” Ally replies. She tries to make it sound as light as possible, even though the pain is almost unbearable. Benson nods and turns to leave.
