"Oh my god! You have to get this dress, Sarah," Sophia chirps as she points at the mannequin wearing a red dress.

I look at the dress that Sophia is enthusiastically pointing at. It's a vibrant red, flowing gown that seems to catch everyone's attention in the store.

"Hmm, it's nice," I say, studying it.

Sophia grins. "Nice? It's more than nice. It's stunning! Imagine wearing this to one of Vincent's events. You'll be the talk of the town."

I raise an eyebrow. "That's not exactly what I'm aiming for."

Sophia nudges me playfully. "Come on, live a little. Besides, Vincent will appreciate the effort. Trust me, he notices these things."

"Him noticing me is the opposite of what I want," I say, frowning.

Sophia giggles. "Okay. Maybe you will be noticed by someone who will rescue you from Vincent and you two will ride off to the sunset."

Did I mention I like this chick?

"Fine, let's add it to the pile. But I'm not turning into a Sterling Barbie doll," I relent
