Chapter 40

Blake squinted his eyes slightly. He looked cold and arrogant as if he was a tyrant looking down at her. His black eyes that appeared abysmal were emanating an intimidating pressure. When he parted his thin lips, a manly voice asked, “Why are you showing your temper again?”

He pinched her chin strongly because he did not want her to move. Jessica endured the sting at her chin. She frowned but did not say anything. Instead, she averted his gaze and looked elsewhere.

‘Doesn’t he realize what he did?’

With that in mind, she took a deep breath and her swaying gaze coincidentally landed on the glass of milk.

As a matter of fact, she could have done what she was told and given him a cup of coffee. He was the one suffering from the headaches, not her, hence she did not have to care that much.
