Chapter 61 - Optimistic

Dad closed his eyes and leaned on the couch before clutching his chest.

"Dad!" I cried aloud.

Simultaneously, as I had him rest his body on the back rest, the door opened.

"Trevor!" My mom ran towards my dad.

I dialed the emergency number while mom had him take his meds.

No matter what my dad did, I'm not a heartless son that would watch him die.

Soon, the ambulance arrived and they took my dad to the hospital.

We followed behind the ambulance.

"Though it's a mild stroke, this is his fourth within a year. Please, watch out for his diet and don't let him be pressured or stressed," the doctor said.

He left after checking dad's vital signs.

"What did you tell your dad?" My mom asked me while she stroke my dad's face.

"Nothing, we just talked something about me taking over the business empire," I lied to her straight face, feeling bad for hiding the truth from her.

Telling her what dad did will leave her heart broken hence I have to keep her in the dark.
