Alpha Leo's POV

I knocked on the door and, with no response, it became certain that she was in. She raised her eyes and met mine as she unplugged the earpiece from her ears.

“Duh? You knocked. I ignored the next cue, which was for you to leave. Why were you in my room anyway?” Dora asked. I felt irked at her words; it sure was not what I had expected to hear, but perhaps it was not new to me in any way.

“I don't have time to dawdle with you. Where is Mom?” I asked almost immediately. I hardly came to Dora's room, but I had not found my mother in her room. That was the reason I was here. My eyes moved across the room, and I fixed them back on Dora.

“I don't know where she has headed to, but she took that girl along with her,” Dora answered, and it got me confused. That was not the exact response I expected. Mother hardly took people along with her, although she loved driving.

“Who do you speak of?” I asked, raising my eyebrows.

“Who else could it be? Of course, it's the wannabe fiancée
