Chapter 7

Lorna

201 pine lane, has been my home for 10 years and instead of feeling like a home it felt much more like a prison.

We lived in one of those suburb neighborhoods in which every house looks exactly the same, when we had first moved into our home we were in total bliss the house looked amazing a beautiful rose garden at the front of the house surrounding the front bay windows and the side of the garage. The grass was a beautiful green and taken care of every weekend the house was a bright white and the inside always immaculate. Now the inside is always immaculate the outside now looked desereted while the grass was always cut it was brown. I felt that reflected my marriage perfectly. A week went by since the altercation with the trashmen. I was incredibly thankful for their willingness to help me and stand up for me without knowing me. The issue with them standing up for me was the consequenses that came after. Instead of an outburst James turned to me shook his head in disgust and got back into his car. I havent heard from him for a full week. So I did what i did best I cleaned my house again and again even though it was constantly clean every night I prepared a full meal. On friday night I was again cooking, a full lasagna with the works a fresh salad and a side of garlic bread. The house smelled amazing I loved pasta. I heard the door creak open and the sound of footsteps running up the stairs. I smiled because i knew it was my kids I hadnt seen them in two weeks. I yelled up the stairs.

"Max! Vicki!! Mama missed you come get some dinner! I made lasagna!"

I heard James saying something but I couldnt quite catch what he was saying. I walked towards the bottom of the stairs and saw all three of them walking down with suitcases.

"Hi mama!" my max said sweetly with a big goofy grin on his face.

"Hi baby! Where are you guys heading?" Tears were threatning to leave my eyes.

"We are going to mama Anna's house!"

Who? Anna? What in the actual fuck is going on?

James looked me straight in the eye and smirked.

"Kids give your mother a hug and get in the car you will see her soon."

I gave each of my kids the longest hug of my life. I kissed each of them on their forehead and pushed them to the door. One thing I wanted was for them to never witness their fathers temper. My mother always told me a man may not be good to you but if hes good to his children dont fight it.

"Here" James handed me a heavy manilla envelope

"What's going on James?"

"I am leaving you Lorna for Anna, from down the street. Remember her?"

Anna? From down the street. My eyes widened in surprise. Anna was on the school board a real stepford wife without the husband. She was goregous I was pretty sure she modeled part time for Victoria Secret. She was 5'11" at least a great body and had the bluest eyes and blonde hair. I never saw her as someone to have an affair with a married man but I guess we all get our surprises.

I stood there for a couple seconds looking at the heavy enevlope.

"okay, I'll go over them and I guess let you know when to pick them up."

James looked at me shocked, I dont think he was expecting me to agree so easily. I did not expect either but I was done. If he wanted Anna I was fine with that. I think.
