136: The Final Round (On The Run)

“Where are we going to find Jeremy?” Faith asked Mateo, as the two of them were sitting still on a big rock near a hollow steep. They had their eyes on the ocean that shone under the setting sun. They weren’t looking at each other. A lot changed in a matter of minutes between them. They are not addressing them now. They both are completely drained.

“I don’t know,” Mateo muttered. Faith looked at her interestingly. He is the man who always has an answer but now here he sat beside her with no clear answer to give. She looked at him closely. The man hasn’t slept. He hasn’t eaten. He looks tired, but not just physically. He is just as mentally drained as physically. He felt her eyes on him. He turned his head to look at her. She had a small scar on the top of her eyebrow. He clicked his tongue and brought his hand to her eyebrow. He traced his dirty thumb under the scar, making sure he doesn’t touch the open wound, “You got hurt.”

She faintly chuckled, “Look who is talking.” She shook he
