it's dinner time already so I just stayed in my room and was on my phone when my dad knocked on my door twice before coming in

"hey princess why didn't you go to prom?" he asked while he stood by the door I guess he has been scared of me ever since our last conversation

"nothing" I replied without sparing him a glance "um-princ.... daughter, I know things has been awkward between us now, we...um.. never had our father-daughter things we used to have but I promise it's gonna be okay" he finally said after some awkward silence between us while I rolled my eyes like we ever had a father-daughter thing before
