~THE SPARK~

Episode 3

Quincy

"Now am gonna teach you a lesson" he said and raised up his hands in an attempt to slap me so I closed my eyes tight to receive whatever comes to me but nothing happened and l opened my eyes slowly only to see his hands been raised and held up in the air by someone I least expected and I gasp.

"hey leave my hand you jerk" he said and struggling to loose his hand from the person grib

"let her go" the guy said "and what you gonna do,call your mama" he asked while the others laughed 

"no am gonna do this" joel said and gave the guy a punch across his face making the guy fall back 

"did you just punched me?" The guy asked while touching his face

 "yeah and am gonna do that again" joel said with confidence

 "you idiot you're gonna regret this guys get him" he said and signals the other guy to fight joel.

he moved closer to joel and they engaged in a very serious fight exchanging fist and all that when the leader brought out a knife from his pocket and I gasp when he made an attempt to stab joel with it 

"behind you joel" I screamed making joel aware of the act and he immediately moved away from the guy and came closer to me, punched the guy holding me on his face making him loose his grib on my hand. Joel held my hand in his hand and we ran as fast as our leg could carry escaping from the bad guys "am gonna get you back" we heard the leader said yelling behind us while we ran further escaping from them and soon we were safe from the bad guys

Joel

We were now safe from the bad guys but still running when quincy suddenly stopped and loosen her hand from mine 

"what wrong quincy?" I asked breathing hard from the run 

"nothing, let part ways now" she said 

"quincy let go it's dangerous alone" I said trying to hold back her hand again but she moved away 

"no I will manage and thanks for tonight, I appreciate" she said and I watched her clutch her bag tight to her shoulder and left. She left leaving me dumb folded and confused 

"what wrong with her?" I thought as I made to go home.

Quincy 

After escaping from the bad guys and still running when I suddenly stopped and loosen my hand from Joel's hand 

"what wrong quincy?" He asked breathing hard from the run

 "nothing let part ways now" I said 

"quincy let go it's dangerous alone" he said and tried to hold my hand but I moved away and that was when I saw a cut on his lips bleeding and I felt sorry for him

 "no I will manage and thanks for tonight, I appreciate" I said and left him alone.

I got home and met my mom cooking so I just went ahead to my room.I changed into my night gown, clutch my teddy bear to my chest and stared at the moon through my window. I was in that position when I felt a light touch on my shoulder 

"quincy what wrong my dear tell me" my mom said and came to sit beside me and I explained things that happened 

"ohh my goodness! Quincy that bad you shouldn't have done that to him and am sorry about tonight. Quincy what you are doing now is putting your past to your presents I told you to move on with your life and quit being cold again but you're still putting  your past to your preasent, I know you went through a lot especially when your father died" my mom said that and a tear dropped from my eye I remember when my dad died it was my 7th year birthday when my dad went to get my favorite toy and never came back home and I was told he died in an accident which I caused if I hadn't asked and wanted that stupid toy maybe my dad wouldn't had go out and die maybe we would still keep living our happy home .

"I miss dad" I said and I wept when my mom pulled me in a hug 

"I also went through a lot after your father died but here I am with you living a perfect life with you after moving on" my mom said while I kept weeping on her shoulder 

"so I guess you should amend things with the boy okay" she added 

"yes mom" I said and pulled away from the hug and my mom helped in cleaning my tears with her palm 

"now let go eat" she said "no mom I'm okay" I replied "it's spaghetti and meatballs" she added making me giggle cause it's my favorite "okay mom you win" I said and she laughed so we went downstairs to have our dinner.

Joel

I got home and my parents were fast asleep so I just retired to my room. I just came out of the shower after taking my bath and treating my bruises when my elder brother Toby came in 

"hey bro, how was your day at school?" He asked while sighed 

"hey you can share that with me" he said and I told him everything "wow" that was what he said after hearing everything 

"do you really like the girl?" he asked 

"yeah bro since I set my eyes on her and I felt spark while holding her" I answered "then why is she that cold?" He asked again 

"I guess there something wrong with her" I replied "okay I have a plan and I think it's gonna work" he said "okay what that?" I asked "why not make her jealous" he said "how the hell am I gonna make a cold hearted girl jealous am not even sure if she has a heart at all" I said while my brother laughed 

"trust me it's gonna work" he assured me "okay I guess am gonna try" I said "yeah that my kid bro, put on somebody boy style" he added making me chucked "okay bro" I said " yeah goodnight" he said and made to leave "goodnight and thanks for your advice" I added " anytime bro" he said and left my room so I wore my night wear and layed in bed hoping to sleep but I kept thinking about her "I guess the plan might workout" I thought and drifted off to sleep
