CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN

A THREAT

Clara wanted to tell him that she wasn't upset, but the waiter came back to their table and again Dahlia asked him for another jug of the delicious juice.

" He is a man and you are a woman, you are young and I didn't see that. " Dahlia continued.

" Dahlia, my dear, believe me, I wasn't upset and I understand you completely. I understood you that day too and I shouldn't have said what I said to you. I know him little and even then, I know that he would never get involved with me. Octavian is a man who doesn't get romantically involved with anyone, I know that and that's fine with me. I can spend hours by his side with him in complete silence and for me it's fine!”

Dahlia looked at her, listening to what she was saying, her eyes so similar to her son's. She mentioned to say something else, but Clara interrupted her:

“Shall we help ourselves to some food? The salad was great, now let's choose some delicacies.”

Dahlia then got up and together they went to the food court.
