Chapter 283 Tomorrow Will Be Better

"Why are you being such a scaredy-cat?" Mr. Marcus helped Jessica up, "Let's find a cave to hide in for now, figure things out when it's light."

Jessica sighed, having no choice but to go along with Mr. Marcus for now. But, "Can't you contact anyone? We can't hold out for days like this."

"Jessica, sometimes you gotta learn to trust that things will work out." Mr. Marcus said, taking her hand, and gesturing toward a large rocky cliff not far away. They'd been through a lot today, and now it was time to find a spot to rest until sunrise.

Jessica agreed, feeling exhausted and hungry. The temperature in the desert dropped significantly at night, even in summer. She shivered in her short sleeves.

She silently prayed they'd make it out of this desert alive. She had no intention of dying in such a desolate place.

Sensing her fear, Mr. Marcus patted her shoulder reassuringly, saying, "Trust me."

Jessica nodded. There had to be a way out of this, or else they'd have been goners by now.
