Chapter 52 The Provocation From His Girlfriend

Hospital, early morning.

Jessica had the nurse take her downstairs to get some fresh air early in the morning. Lying in bed all day was boring. The past few years had been too busy. She had gotten used to a fast-paced life. Suddenly having free time felt uncomfortable, as if a part of her life had been forcibly taken away.

The greens in the garden outside the hospital were well-maintained. Many patients were walking or sunbathing downstairs, old and young. From their faces, she saw signs of suffering, as well as serene calmness.

The most eye-catching was a pair of twin boys playing with a small soccer ball in the garden. They were around seven or eight years old, similar in age to Henry. They looked adorable, like little dolls, slightly clumsy in their movements, displaying the characteristic slowness of children. Their faces were rosy from running around, looking pink and tender, incredibly cute.
