Chapter 41
Harry was awakened when a cold breeze suddenly touched the part of his body that wasn't covered by the two thick blankets he had taken from the living room sofas and used to cover himself and Kath after she had fallen asleep on the carpet. He thought about simply pulling the covers and going back to sleep, but even with his eyes closed, he noticed the brightness that signaled it was already daytime, so he decided to open his eyes and find out how far into Sunday it already was.
His clock showed quarter to eleven, so it wasn't exactly a surprise that Kath was no longer beside him. However, he couldn't help but wonder if she had slept there or had fled to the bedroom, startled upon realizing she had fallen asleep next to her boyfriend. He didn't think it was safe to assume that she was ready to sleep with him just because of one night when she had fallen asleep in his company.
