Alex's p.o.v
For the first time in a long time I couldn't sleep a wink. All I could do the whole night was to toss and turn.
I was exhausted and my head was aching. I stood up from my bed and walked into the bathroom to look at myself in the mirror.
"Why can't you stop thinking about that woman? You don't know who she is, so stop." I whispered to my reflection then groaned loudly.
"Sir are you fine?" Pete my bodyguard asked loudly.
"Come here, Pete," I ordered.
The door to the bedroom opened then closed.
"Sir." He called.
"I'm in here," I answered.
After a minute he walked in and stood next to me.
"Have I ever met that woman from last night before?" I asked seriously.
"No sir." He answered.
"Are you certain?" I asked.
Alex's p.o.v"What's wrong with me, why can't I stop the tears from falling. why does it hurt so much." I whispered to myself then sat upright."Pete," I called loudly. The door opened and he entered."Yes boss." he answered."Call Cleo now." I ordered seriously. If it's someone who knew about my blurry past memories, it was her.He walked to the desk ahead and picked up my cell phone then dialed Cleo's line."Here you go sir," he said while moving closer to hand me the phone."Thanks," I whispered then took it."Hello, sis." I answered Softly."Hey, how is the business trip going?" She asked cheerfully."It's going great." I answered then stood up."What. Did you miss me already?" She asked.&nb
Stacey's p.o.vI was feeling so uncomfortable in the limousine. Roy, Lizzy and Becky were all staring at me like I was some crazy psycho."I gave you some sleeping pills, why are you still awake?" Becky asked loudly.I bite my lower lip and looked at the window. I was dizzy and a little sleepy, but there was just no way I was going to sleep in the car and let them talk behind my back."I'm not a poor soul who needs saving. So please stop treating me like one." I answered seriously."I'm sorry boss, I somehow understand how you feel, its like reliving a bad memory of the past." Lizzy said sadly.I smiled at her fakely then went back to looking at the window."So it really was him?" Roy asked with detest in his voice."Yes and no." Beck answered."What does that mean?" he asked.
Sharon's p.o.vI was furious over some lady I had never met before named Stacey.Celo was giving me a cold eye, all because of Alex."Sharon who was the one that took care of your debt when you had nothing?" She asked while walking back and forth."It was you, Cleo." I answered in a whisper."Who gave you money, clothed you and fed you when your club went bankrupt?" She asked."It was you Cleo." I answered again. She stopped moving and faced me with folded arms."Your job was very simple, didn't I tell you that I would convince Alex that you were his fiancee, and he would take the bait?" She asked."Yes, you did." I answered."So why then are you here, why didn't you go with him on his trip? Why the fuck did you let him convince you to stay b
Stacey's p.o.v"I can't believe your brother had the guts to postpone the meeting after all we went through." I whispered to Roy as we walked into a restaurant."Let's just wait for him and hear what he has to say." He answered and walked ahead to the receptionist. It was past lunch and I had planned to relax in my office alone, I didn't expect to be called out again by that selfish man.Roy came back and held my hand."This way." He whispered.I walked with him to the last table that was near the window with a smile. The place was quiet and only a few people were there, everything about it looked well taken care of and very expensive."I'm sure he will be here soon." He whispered then pulled out a chair for me when we reached the table."Thank you." I said softly then sat down.
Stacey's p.o.vI had a bit of a headache as I tried to work while feeling dehydrated, I sat on my chair with my head on the desk While holding a bottle of water.I drunk too much and Roy had to drop me at a hotel when Lizzy and Becky insisted on staying."Damn Lizzy for having the house keys." I whispered to myself. The door opened and I looked up. Becky walked in without knocking, followed by Roy."Hey honey." he greeted with a wide smile."Hey," I answered lazily."Are you okay?." he asked in concern."Yeah, I'm just feeling a bit of a hangover." I answered honestly."Any way you will be fine soon, did you manage to prepare the files I had asked for?" he asked."How cold can you be Roy, have you forgotten who she is?" Becky asked."No
Alex's p.o.vI was up upset and very angry with what I had just heard from Becky on phone. The board of directorst came toa conclusion of buying some shares in one of the most known company.I didn't like the idea but I figured how handy it would come in the future when our company would need a partner and so I agreed to travel abroad just to settle the buying of shares. What I didn't expect was to run into Stacey.I took my phone from my pocket and dialed Cian's number."Hey man." He answered."Why the hell aren't you here already!" I yelled."Relax, why do you sound so upset?" He asked loudly."You just get your ass here." I demanded then sighed."You can't imagine how I'm feeling right now." I whispered."And what's making you be this upset?" he asked while la
Lewis's p.o.vI looked at Stacey's address with a smile. What were the chances of us running into Becky at a club, she seemed happy to talk to us and she later disappeared with Cian leaving me behind. And to think it was brothers over a woman.I came out of the car and knocked on the gate a few times. The gate was opened by Lizzy who was looking at me in shock."Can I come?" I asked with my best smile."Um.....""Please," I whispered."Sure." She answered then stepped back.I walked in and waited for her to close the gate. When she did we went to the house."Wait here." She said then walked into the house.Ifelt impatient standing there doing nothing, what I wanted was to see Stacey.I walked to the door and went in, I found Stacey on the stairs ta
Lewis's p.o.vI took in a deep breath for the fourth time and released it."It's already morning, where the hell is he?" I asked seriously as Cian opened his eyes and looked at me."Man you must calm down and get some sleep." He answered. He was laying down on the bed while I was standing near the wine table. I had been tense since yesterday. I received a phone call from Pete telling me that he got the information that we needed and that he was going to board a plane right away. I was impressed that he worked very fast and serious."Fine, I'll try and calm down." I said then poured some whiskey in my glass and gulped it down."Wow, you need to work on your relaxing techniques, because one day you won't have that glass of whiskey right there. You will end up gulping down water or juice." He said with laughter."I would just g
