The night made way for daylight. I and Gwen made our way to aunt Maya's. I sincerely hope mad dog had concluded the little exercise I had sent him. He and I were the only ones aware of the books existence. The third person who knew about it was my late father. Mad dog had sworn secrecy not to mention a word about that book to a single soul. Gwen could never know anything about it. I'd have to tell her myself. Knowing the truth would shatter whatever we have together.

After a while, we got to aunt Maya's house. The place looked like a castle.

Gwen's face lit up in excitement. Holding the hem of her dress, her eyes savoured the place in nostalgia. She took a deep breath of satisfaction. “It's just like I remember.” She said in smiles. Together we made our way in through the huge doors. I was happy she was happy, but I was still concerned about mad dog. Was he dead? Or perhaps did he run wild again? I had no idea what it was, but I can't let Gwen find out what my father did to
