Before We Take Our Vows

It was late night when Siddharth was still working in his study. Advika was sleeping inside their bedroom. Siddharth was totally into his work when a soft knock on the door took his attention.

He knew who is at door after all it's their daily routine. ‘Mom don’t need to knock. Come inside please.’ He said closing the file.

Arunima entered with a cup of coffee in her hand. Well a mug of coffee.

‘Here have it.’ Arunima gave him the mug. Siddharth took the mug from her hand and Arunima sat beside him on the couch ‘You need help in paperwork Siddu?’

‘No Mom, I will do by myself.’ Siddharth said sipping his coffee. Arunima smiled ‘You didn’t change a little bit Siddu, you remained same like your childhood. Never taking help for homework, assignments and now office work.’

Arunima ruffled his hairs, he was always like this, self – capable.

After 10 minutes Arunima got up with the empty cup ‘Thanks Mom. It was very much needed.’

Arunima smiled at him and started going out. Few steps ahead, she
